  1. Could we get a canned report added for the values of Materials, Consumables and Tools?

Since we lost the value of the Tools on the dashboard summary, could we get a simple report added "by location" that will give us this info for insurance loss prevention values at the end of the month? (Loss prevention values by Location) Thinking a simple canned report would be easier to add and be user friendly for similar end users.

  2. Add Consumables to Field Request funciton

We are utilizing the Field Requests function to place material restock or orders for our construction side of our plumbing business. I do not want to convert these into materials as these are non-sellable items that we use to get the job done. Things like glove refill, mc tank refills, replenish for solder, are crucial things for us to make sure our techs keep on the job site and keep working.

  4. Bulk delete items in Ply

Ability to select and delete all materials in the catalog with a single click. Current behavior: Users must bulk select materials page by page, which can be time-consuming when they need to delete a large number of materials.

  5. Sync HouseCall Pro Estimates to Ply at Any Status Stage (Not Just Approved)

Problem: Users want to create a job in Ply directly from an estimate/quote in HouseCall Pro, even before that estimate has been approved. Currently, this isn't possible since estimates only sync to Ply once approved. Current Behavior: Only approved estimates sync from HouseCall Pro to Ply, meaning users can't create a job in Ply based on an estimate until after the customer has approved it. Requested Behavior: Allow estimates/quotes in any status (not just approved) to sync to Ply so users can create a job from that quote ahead of approval — enabling earlier prep of materials and stock pricing.

  6. Compact/Large View Toggle for Mobile App Job Cards

Summary: Customer requests a display density/text-size setting (Compact vs. Large view) for job cards in the Ply mobile app, as an alternative to relying on the phone's OS-level accessibility text scaling. Customer Context: A few technicians on the account struggle to read text clearly on the mobile app job cards. One tech tried increasing text size via the phone's system-wide accessibility settings, but this made buttons/features harder to tap and navigate, so it's not a workable fix. Problem: There's currently no in-app setting to adjust text size/density specifically within Ply — only the device's OS-level "Larger Text" accessibility setting, which scales the entire UI (including tap targets) and creates usability issues. Proposed Solution: A Compact/Large view toggle within the Ply mobile app (similar in spirit to the upcoming dark mode feature) that adjusts job card text size/density without breaking layout or shrinking tappable areas. Related/Adjacent Settings: Tech Job Visibility (All/Week/Day/Next) — reduces the number of jobs shown, but doesn't address text size. Not a substitute for this request.

  8. Ability to Differentiate "Assistant" from "Technician" Role in Multi-Tech Material Sourcing

Currently, using the "Shared truck" sourcing strategy for multi-tech jobs requires every person assigned to the job, including assistants/helpers who are not the primary technician, to be set up as a full technician user with access to the shared truck location. This causes two problems: Assistants are treated as equal participants in the sourcing logic (tiebreaker rules, fallback behavior), even though they aren't the ones the sourcing decision should be based on. Because multiple people (tech + assistant(s)) are tied to the same shared truck, the Activity log records deductions as generic "general activity" against the location, with no way to attribute the action to the actual technician versus the assistant. Requested behavior: Introduce a distinct "Assistant" role (or a role flag), separate from "Technician," that can still be linked to a job/truck for visibility and access purposes, but is excluded from multi-tech sourcing logic entirely — it should not count as an additional assigned technician for "First technician's location," and should not be treated as a shared-truck participant for "Shared truck" sourcing or its tiebreaker/fallback rules. Why this matters: This would eliminate the root cause of non-attributable "general activity" entries under Shared truck, and would make sourcing logic more accurate for businesses that regularly staff jobs with a lead technician plus one or more assistants.

  10. Additional Data Columns for Spend Lens Report

C&D Industrial Maintenance needs several additional data points in the Spend Lens report to support their PO tracking and reporting workflows. The current report is missing key fields they rely on for internal accounting and job tracking. Current Behavior: No PO owner field is included. No Job number column. No ship-to location column (warehouse or jobsite). No Service Titan PO# column. Requested Behavior: Add the following columns to the Spend Lens report: PO owner Job number (when available) Ship-to location (warehouse or jobsite) Service Titan PO# (when available)

  11. Ability to Reopen a Closed Job in FieldEdge

Customer would like the ability to reopen a closed/completed job in FieldEdge and have the updated status reflected in Ply, allowing them to continue making changes to the job.

  12. Formatting options for printing Jobs

It would be helpful to have more formatting options when printing jobs. Currently, the paper size and layout options are limited. Allowing users to choose different paper sizes and customize which information is included would make printed jobs more flexible for a variety of workflows. Different teams and businesses use printed jobs for different purposes, so the ability to tailor the layout would improve readability, reduce unnecessary information, support a wider range of printers and paper sizes, and reduce paper waste while making the print feature more useful overall.

  14. Public API Enhancements — Equipment Read Access & Job Materials Write Access

Use case: Client uses the Ply API heavily to sync jobs and stock data into Airtable. They've raised two specific API gaps: Read access to Equipment section (serialized units) Requesting a public API endpoint (or webhook) to read Equipment items and their serialized units, specifically serial number, location, and status. Client registers warranty and rebate information tied to serial numbers and wants to pull this data per job. Write access for job materials Requesting an endpoint such as POST /jobs/{id}/materials to allow writing materials directly to a job via API. Client generates per-project material lists and currently can only pass this data through the job note field as a workaround, which isn't ideal for their workflow. Impact: Even a read-only endpoint or webhook for either of these would meaningfully unblock their current process.

  15. Estimate Pipeline (ServiceTitan): Include Equipment and linked materials to eliminate duplicate data entry

Request: Customers using the ServiceTitan Estimate Pipeline need Equipment line items and materials "linked" to Equipment to flow through automatically, the same way standalone Materials do. Currently, only standalone Material line items route through the pipeline — Equipment and its linked materials are excluded by design, which forces customers to manually re-add them when building a PO tied to a job/estimate. Here's the problem it creates: The customer's workflow is to build out full job costing (equipment + materials) directly in a ServiceTitan estimate, then use Ply's Estimate Pipeline to generate a Purchase Order from that same breakdown. Since Equipment and linked materials don't come through, the customer ends up adding some materials in ServiceTitan and then manually re-adding a subset of them again in Ply to complete the PO — a duplication of effort that defeats the purpose of the pipeline for jobs involving equipment (which is common for HVAC/mechanical installs). This is consistent with the stated design goal of the Estimate Pipeline feature itself (per the original "Estimate-to-Picklist & Purchase Order Automation Spec"): "Zero manual reentry of materials between FSM and Ply." The current ServiceTitan implementation does not yet meet that goal for jobs involving equipment.
