  1. Ability to generate a PO number before adding line items (auto-generate on PO creation)

Request: Customer needs a PO number to be available at the moment a PO is created, before any materials/line items are added. In their workflow, techs go to the supply house first and need a PO number to give them on the spot — they don't yet know which materials they'll be purchasing. The current PO Number Format setting (Settings > Procurement > Purchasing Settings) only generates a number once the PO already has content, which doesn't fit this use case. As a workaround, if they create the PO first and later attach the packing slip, the packing slip is saved as a plain attachment and the AI/OCR does not extract data from it — data extraction only works when the packing slip is used to create the PO from scratch. Customer suggested allowing a placeholder/dummy line item to be added just to generate the PO number, while still allowing the AI to extract full data from an uploaded packing slip image afterward (instead of it becoming a plain attachment).

  2. Cycle count Adjustments Reporting

I would like to suggest building a report of the Adjusted Items on Cycle counts, how many items were adjusted from Cycle counts with a dollar amount so we can see how much money was lost. It would be helpful if this was a month-to-month report as well so I can see all the counts from August and how many items were adjusted and how much those missing items costed.

  3. Auto-hide or archive old Completed pick lists

Completed pick lists have no automatic way to be hidden or cleaned up from the board over time. They accumulate indefinitely in the Completed column with no auto-archive-by-age option. Without any way to hide old Completed pick lists, customers doing high picklist volume have to filter by date range every session to keep the board usable, since there's no persistent/default filter and no bulk cleanup option.

  4. Ability to Add Multiple Suppliers when Creating a PO from ESTIMATES Pipeline.

When you're creating a PO from Estimates Pipeline, currently, a PO can only be associated with one supplier. It would be helpful to have the ability to add multiple suppliers.

  5. Add Consumables to Field Request funciton

We are utilizing the Field Requests function to place material restock or orders for our construction side of our plumbing business. I do not want to convert these into materials as these are non-sellable items that we use to get the job done. Things like glove refill, mc tank refills, replenish for solder, are crucial things for us to make sure our techs keep on the job site and keep working.

  6. JOB TEMPLATES (Tick Sheets) Reusable, editable material templates that preload standard items and quantities for faster & accurate ordering.

WHY THIS IDEA IS USEFUL Eliminates repetitive work by allowing teams to reuse predefined material lists for common job types instead of rebuilding orders item-by-item. Reduces ordering errors and missed materials by standardizing the items typically required for repeatable jobs. Speeds up material ordering by replacing catalog searching and folder navigation with preloaded, job-specific templates. Bridges the gap between planning and execution by aligning office-created material standards with what technicians actually need in the field. Replaces external spreadsheets and Word documents with a native, system-of-record workflow inside PLY. WHO WOULD BENEFIT Office / operations teams Faster creation of supplier orders for repeatable jobs and multi-unit projects Easier quantity adjustments per unit or per phase Less reliance on tribal knowledge or external reference documents Field technicians Job-specific material lists that load instantly based on service typeFaster material sheets with fewer missed itemsReduced time spent searching the catalog during or after site visits Company owners and managers More consistent material standards across jobsBetter cost control and predictabilityImproved efficiency across both office and field workflows HOW IT SHOULD WORK Users can create reusable Job Templates (tick sheets) using items from the existing PLY catalog. Each template contains predefined items with default quantities, which can be edited at any time.Templates can be applied to a job by office staff or field technicians, depending on the workflow.Once applied, users can adjust quantities, add or remove items, and include optional or upgrade materials. The finalized list can be submitted directly for ordering through PLY using Purchase Orders, or used to generate pick lists for material already in stock at a warehouse location. The same templates should be accessible to both office and field users to ensure consistency and speed.

  7. Limit who receives Field Request notifications

Ability to control which users receive Field Request notifications, instead of all Managers and Admins receiving them by default.

  8. Ability for Admin or Owners to Reopen a Finished Job

Summary: Add an option to reopen a job that has been marked as finished, allowing users to move it back to active status. Current Behavior: When a user clicks the 3-dot menu on a job, they have the option to "Finish Job." Once confirmed, the job is moved to the finished jobs list with no way to reverse this action if it was done by mistake. Requested Behavior: Allow users (Admin or Owners) to reopen a finished job and move it back to active status directly from the app, without needing to contact support.

  9. Send RFQ Confirmation to Sender

Problem: When a Purchase Order is sent, the sending user/team receives a copy of the email confirming it went out. RFQs don't have this same behavior. Current Behavior: When an RFQ is sent to a supplier, only the supplier receives the email (with PDF attachment). The Ply user who sent the RFQ does not get a copy, so they have no email-based confirmation or record that it went out. Requested Behavior: Send a copy of the RFQ email (or a notification) to the sender/relevant Ply user when an RFQ is submitted to a supplier, mirroring the existing PO behavior.

  10. Bulk delete items in Ply

Ability to select and delete all materials in the catalog with a single click. Current behavior: Users must bulk select materials page by page, which can be time-consuming when they need to delete a large number of materials.

  11. Condensed Picklist Print Preview

Picklist printouts currently span multiple pages, which creates friction for teams using printed picklists in the field or warehouse. A condensed print layout option would reduce the number of pages generated per picklist, making printouts more practical for daily use. This is especially relevant for high-volume operations managing large job queues.

  12. Notifications for PO Creation and Status Changes

Ability to be notified when a purchase order is created and whenever its status changes.

  13. Longer list timing

It would be nice to have the "list" option last up to 12 hours (even with exiting out of the camera) so users can accumulate the list as they go before putting in a PO or RFQ at the end of their shift. This would make it easier for the users so they don't have to go through multiple buttons to add one inventory items at a time on a PO. Instead they can scan the barcode and save it as they go.

  14. Show material description instead of/alongside name on Purchase Orders

Customer sells garage doors with multiple model numbers (410, 420, 430, 440) that each come in multiple colors (white, almond, sesame, brown, sandstone, etc.), all at the same price point. This results in a large number of near-identical catalog entries that are hard to distinguish by material Name alone. Customer's current workaround is manually retyping the full product description into each PO every time it's created, since the material Name shown on the PO is too generic (e.g., item number or short name) to be useful to the supplier on its own. Customer's request: show the material Description prominently on the Purchase Order (either replacing the material Name, or as a shortened Name plus the Description shown directly below it), rather than requiring a hover-over on the material Name to see the Description. Customer specifically noted they don't need the full material Name in this view, just the Description, which contains the actual specs the supplier needs

  15. Be able to re-assign multiple jobs at once - Feature

Sometimes the techs call off sick or don't show up - in these cases we need to move several jobs to a new tech and truck - it would be efficient to multiple select jobs and "Re-assign" the job to a new tech and truck The way it is now, I have to go into each job and manually assign the tech and truck for 15 -18 jobs.
